People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our well-established client based in Coventry, West Midlands.
This is a fantastic opportunity offering rates of pay up to £38.11 per hour, no handball work, paid breaks, ongoing full-time work, immediate starts and regular overtime opportunities.

This position is ideal for applicants who have previously worked as an HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver, Articulated Lorry Driver or Class 1 Trunking Driver.
Shifts
• Monday to Friday
• Start times between 14:00 and 22:00
• Regular weekend overtime available
• Long shifts available to maximise earnings
Rates of Pay
• £19.05 per hour – standard rate
• £23.81 per hour – after nine hours
• £38.11 per hour – sixth shift

Day-to-Day Duties
As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include:
• Completing RDC trunking and brewery deliveries using curtain-sider trailers
• Transporting goods without handball requirements
• Completing vehicle checks before and after each shift
• Ensuring loads are secure and compliant
• Following delivery schedules and routes efficiently
• Adhering to road traffic legislation and company procedures
Essential Skills
To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:
• Valid UK Category CE (Class 1) Driving Licence
• Minimum 24 months’ Class 1 driving experience
• Valid Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences
Desirable Experience
• Previous RDC delivery experience
• Curtain-sider experience
Training Provided
• Driver assessment required prior to starting
• One-day paid induction
• Ongoing support and development
