Full job descriptionWe’re partnering with a leading UK Grocer to appoint a Distribution Centre General Manager for their major distribution centre in Andover. This is a high-profile leadership opportunity where you’ll take full responsibility for a complex, fast-paced operation serving hundreds of retail locations and leading a workforce of approximately 400 colleagues.
As Distribution Centre General Manager, you will translate business strategy into operational excellence, ensuring the depot delivers outstanding service, efficiency, safety and performance while developing a strong culture of engagement and continuous improvement.
The Opportunity
You will:
*Lead all aspects of a large-scale distribution operation
*Develop and execute operational strategies that support business objectives
*Lead, coach and inspire a multi-disciplinary leadership team
*Drive a culture of continuous improvement, safety and operational excellence
*Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, suppliers and trade union partners
*Deliver financial performance whilst managing significant operational budgets
*Ensure exceptional service delivery to retail locations across the network
What We’re Looking For
We are keen to speak with experienced operations leaders who can demonstrate:
*Proven experience leading large-scale operational teams
*Strong track record of delivering transformational change within complex environments
*Experience within logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, distribution, retail operations or similar sectors
*Outstanding leadership and people development capabilities
*Commercial acumen with experience managing large budgets and operational performance
*Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and build strong strategic partnerships
The Package
£90,000 - £105,000 basic salary
Company car or £6,000 car allowance
