REGIONAL SALES ENGINEER

Location: North West UK (Greater Manchester preferred)
Salary: Up to £50,000 + uncapped commission
Vacancy Reference: 5510

Are you a commercially driven HVAC sales professional with strong technical knowledge and a proven ability to win new business, influence specifications and convert complex opportunities into profitable sales?
We are working with a highly respected, award-winning UK HVAC solutions business with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality heating, cooling and ventilation solutions across the built environment.
With a portfolio including chillers, air handling units, heat pumps, comfort cooling and energy-efficient HVAC systems, the business combines technical expertise with strong internal estimating, design and engineering support.
Due to continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for a Regional Sales Engineer to take ownership of the North West territory, developing new business and strengthening relationships with consultants, contractors, FM providers and end users.
This is a proactive, commercially focused sales role requiring someone who can create demand, influence projects and manage opportunities from initial contact through to order placement.

Location: Ideally based in Greater Manchester, particularly South Manchester, Cheshire or surrounding areas. Hybrid working includes 2–3 days per week in the Central Manchester office during onboarding, reducing to 1 day once established.

The Role

You will promote the company’s complete range of applied and bespoke HVAC products and associated services across the North West.
The role combines new business development with existing account growth, with an initial emphasis on generating new opportunities and expanding market presence.
Working alongside internal estimating, design and engineering teams, you will identify opportunities, develop technical solutions, influence specifications and manage the full sales process through to negotiation and order conversion.

Key Responsibilities

*Promote the company’s HVAC products and associated service solutions across the North West.
*Develop business with consultants, specifiers, contractors, FM providers and commercial and industrial end users.
*Generate leads and convert opportunities through a structured sales process.
*Manage sales opportunities from initial enquiry through to quotation, negotiation and order placement.
*Develop existing relationships while securing new customers.
*Work with internal estimating, design and engineering teams to deliver appropriate technical solutions.
*Deliver technical and commercial presentations, seminars and customer meetings.
*Assess market potential and identify opportunities for regional growth.
*Provide technical advice and commercial input throughout the sales cycle.
*Manage the sales pipeline, produce monthly reports and monitor territory performance.
*Develop and implement sales strategies to maximise revenue, margin and market share.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

*Proven experience within the commercial HVAC sector.
*Strong background in solution sales, applications sales or technically led HVAC sales.
*Good technical understanding of applied HVAC systems, particularly chillers, ideally including Turbocor, as well as cooling, heating, air movement and heat pump solutions.
*Experience selling engineered HVAC solutions through consultants, specifiers, contractors and end users.
*Track record of generating and converting opportunities exceeding £1m turnover, with a focus on margin and commercial performance.
*Established or transferable relationships with HVAC consultants, specifiers, contractors, FM providers and end users across the region.
*Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
*Ability to work collaboratively with internal technical teams.
*Self-motivated, commercially aware and capable of working autonomously.
*Confident using Microsoft Office and standard business systems.

An HND or degree-level engineering qualification would be advantageous but is not essential. Leadership or management experience would also be beneficial.

The Person

You will be proactive, commercially sharp and motivated by developing new business and building a strong regional presence.
You will enjoy autonomy and responsibility, with the confidence to engage consultants, contractors, FM providers and end users at all levels.
You will combine technical credibility with strong relationship-building and negotiation skills, taking pride in representing high-quality engineered solutions.

What’s in It for You?

*Basic salary up to £50,000, with flexibility for an exceptional candidate.
*12% uncapped commission on gross profit above £200,000.
*£440 per month car allowance.
*Pension and healthcare.
*Company mobile and laptop.
*25 days’ holiday.
*Genuine long-term career development and progression opportunities.

If you have commercial HVAC sales experience and are ready to take ownership of a key regional territory, we would love to hear from you.
