Job Description:
Full job descriptionAccount Manager – Full-time, Permanent
Location: Remote or hybrid working from anywhere in England, with occasional travel to customers and the company’s office
Salary: Up to £55,000 basic salary + commission, with OTE of approximately £75,000–£80,000+ per annum + £4,000 car allowance + benefits
The Opportunity:
Are you tired of account management roles where you are expected to be everything to everyone, carrying an unrealistic volume of accounts, reacting to constant issues, and then being judged on targets you have not been given the time, ownership or support to influence?
Perhaps you still enjoy the commercial side of sales, but perform at your best when you can properly understand your customers, build trusted relationships, and spot opportunities that make a difference to them?
This is a commercially focused Account Manager position within an established SaaS business, where you will take ownership of a portfolio of existing B2B customers. You will be responsible for strengthening relationships, protecting recurring revenue and identifying opportunities for sustainable, profitable growth.
This is not a role for somebody who wants to wait around for a renewal to come around. You will be trusted to wear many hats, such as:
*maintaining strong customer relationships,
*developing account plans,
*understanding commercial and operational priorities,
*suggesting smarter ways of working,
*and introducing additional products or services where they will create value.
You will also need a strong business development mindset. That means:
*recognising opportunities,
*confidently pursuing them and converting them into revenue through renewals,
*upselling, cross-selling, and pursuing new business activity where appropriate.
You will have ownership of your accounts and the autonomy to make a commercial impact, while working closely with expert internal teams to make sure customers receive the right solution.
If you have the curiosity and aptitude to learn a sophisticated SaaS solution, enjoy being proactive rather than reactive, and want to become a credible, commercially astute partner to your customers, we would love to hear from you.
Why This Role Stands Out:
*Basic salary up to £55,000 per annum
*Commission structure equating to circa £75-80,000 per annum
*Car allowance £4,000 per year
*Annual salary reviews with regular market benchmarking
*Remote or hybrid working depending on where you’re located (to be discussed)
*25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
*2 volunteer days per year
*Pension scheme – 4% employer, 4% employee contributions, plus optional extra 1% matched
*Health Cash Plan including 24/7 GP access and consultations
*Dental and optical cover
*Death in Service cover (4x salary) plus extras, including will writing
*Employee Assistance Programme
*Cycle to work scheme
*Discretionary bonus
*Modern office environment and collaborative culture
*Team events, knowledge sharing and continuous learning opportunities
*High levels of autonomy, trust and ownership
*Structured training and development opportunities to help you grow
*The opportunity to influence technical strategy within a growing technology business
What You’ll Bring as an Account Manager:
*A successful B2B account management, business development or consultative solution-sales background, with clear evidence of achieving or exceeding targets
*Experience in the SaaS industry with a technical mindset, able to learn and understand complex software solutions
*Experience retaining, growing, and developing existing customer relationships through renewals, upselling and cross-selling
*A consultative, commercially astute approach, with the ability to understand customer needs before recommending the right solution
*Confidence engaging, advising and influencing stakeholders at all levels, both remotely and face to face – strong presentation skills are essential
*Strong organisation and attention to detail, including disciplined CRM, account-plan and forecast management
*A full UK driving licence
*Long-term right to work in the UK
Location
The role can be performed remotely or on a hybrid basis from within England, with travel to customer locations and the company’s office when required. Some travel will form part of the role (3-4 times per month), although much of the day-to-day customer contact will take place remotely.
Why You Should Apply for the Account Manager role:
As an experienced Account Manager, perhaps you enjoy the commercial challenge of sales, but want to move away from relentless cold prospecting or a role where you’re expected to firefight without the autonomy to make a meaningful difference.
This is an opportunity to take genuine ownership of valuable customer relationships, be rewarded for the commercial value you create and develop your accounts strategically. You will have the scope to uncover opportunities, influence outcomes, and turn trusted relationships into sustainable growth.
Apply now or contact Michelle at Leo Recruitment for a confidential conversation. You do not need a perfect CV, but your application should clearly demonstrate your sales achievements and the measurable results you have delivered in order to be successful.
