Full job descriptionTPF Recruitment, Kent’s leading accountancy practice recruitment agency, is recruiting for an Audit Senior to join an excellent Top 15 accountancy practice based in Maidstone.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced audit professional looking to develop their career within a highly regarded firm. You’ll work on a varied client portfolio, take responsibility for audit assignments and build your technical and supervisory experience alongside experienced colleagues.
As an Audit Senior, you’ll lead assignments from planning through to completion, maintain strong client relationships and support junior members of the audit team.
Responsibilities
As an Audit Senior, your responsibilities will include:
*Planning and leading audit assignments, working closely with managers and partners.
*Undertaking audit fieldwork, identifying key risks and completing appropriate testing.
*Preparing audit files and financial statements ready for manager review.
*Supervising junior colleagues, reviewing their work and providing practical guidance.
*Liaising directly with clients to obtain information, resolve queries and communicate progress.
*Identifying technical matters and discussing findings with the audit manager.
*Monitoring assignment progress against agreed budgets and deadlines.
*Supporting the completion process, ensuring outstanding points are resolved and files meet the firm’s quality standards.
RequirementsTo be considered for this Audit Senior opportunity, you’ll have:
*Relevant audit experience within a UK accountancy practice.
*Experience leading assignments or taking responsibility for significant sections of an audit.
*A good understanding of UK auditing standards and financial reporting requirements.
*Confidence preparing working papers and supporting financial statements.
*Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective client relationships.
*Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
*A collaborative approach and an interest in supporting junior colleagues.
*This Audit Senior role could suit an established Senior looking for a new challenge or an experienced Semi Senior ready to take the next step.
