Job Description:
Full job descriptionFor one of our leading clients, we are searching for an experienced freelance Project Manager to lead the implementation of a Manhattan Order Management System (OMS) supporting a major 4PL operation. You will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of the OMS programme, managing stakeholders, project governance, scope, risks, and customer engagement throughout the project lifecycle. The project is currently in the design phase, with go-live scheduled for October 2027.
Role Responsibilities
*Lead the end-to-end delivery of the Manhattan OMS implementation programme
*Manage project scope, timelines, milestones, budgets and overall governance
*Own project status reporting and communications across business and IT stakeholders
*Manage RAID logs, ensuring risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies are effectively controlled
*Coordinate internal teams, third-party vendors and customer stakeholders
*Oversee all IT workstreams and ensure alignment with business requirements and project objectives
*Facilitate workshops, design sessions and solution reviews during the design phase
*Drive project planning, resource management and delivery execution
*Support testing, deployment planning, go-live readiness and hyper care activities
*Ensure successful stakeholder engagement and customer communication throughout the programme lifecycle
Requirements
*Strong project management experience delivering Manhattan OMS or Manhattan WMS implementations
*Proven track record managing large-scale supply chain, logistics or warehouse technology projects
*Experience working within 3PL, 4PL, warehousing or distribution environments
*Excellent stakeholder management and customer-facing communication skills
*Strong experience managing project governance, reporting and RAID processes
*Experience leading cross-functional IT and business delivery teams
*Ability to manage multiple workstreams, vendors and project dependencies
*Experience supporting design, implementation, testing and go-live phases of enterprise software projects
