But I became frustrated with the ?numbers game?: a conveyer belt of clients and candidates and no time to get to know anyone and understand what they are really looking for. In my experience, as much as skills matter, people matter more. The people you want to be working with ? whether you are a client or a candidate. Organisational ?fit? is often underestimated by recruitment agencies, but it is so important. Perhaps more important than anything else. So, with my daughters a little older and a Cockapoo to share the office with, I decided to go it alone and set up Lisa Wright Recruitment. A boutique recruitment agency, with high street fees. I have no ambition to work with hundreds of clients and candidates; I believe small is beautiful. So I invest as much time in candidates and clients alike to understand the people behind the job descriptions and CVs. To find my clients the perfect candidates and my candidates the perfect role. It?s a highly personal service. Clients and candidates alike will work with me personally, so you know I won’t introduce you to candidates or potential employers that I have not taken the time to get to know first.
