Job Description:
Science Solutions are looking to recruit an SQC/SPC Champion for a global composite materials manufacturer based on their Heanor facility.
To be considered for this position as an SQC/SPC Champion you must have previous significant industrial experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment across composites, polymers or chemical manufacturing industries.
As an SQC/SPC Champion you will become part of a new global team to develop SPC and SQC systems for up to 4 sites within UK and Germany. You will also be responsibility for developing process capability and leading continuous improvement projects.

Role responsibilities
* Develop SPC & SQC systems for up to 4 sites and develop process capability while leading continuous improvement projects.
* Actively liaise with customers and global colleagues to assess and manage changes that could negatively impact quality risk levels.
* Coordinate, provide and schedule training in statistical process control and statistical quality control subjects for site personnel.
* Improve customer satisfaction, product capability and process capability.
* Regional trips to EU up to 30% of the time.
Role requirements
* Bachelors educated as a minimum in an engineering discipline. Ideally chemical/process engineering.
* Previous experience in managing customer relationships highly desirable.
* Statistical process control experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.
* Understanding and knowledge of six sigma tools including 5S, process control MSA, continuous improvement or Gauge. Lean Six Sigma Black Belt highly desirable.
* 5 years’ experience in a quality/process engineering role or similar is essential to be considered for this position.
