My client has been established for over 40 years and has an enviable reputation as a successful electronics OEM business and design consultancy. They design a variety of PCBs, Box builds and more for clients all over the world.
The ideal Product Design Engineer will have a good background in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign & proficient in 3D design using Solidworks or similar tools. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience and BA/BSc in Industrial or Product Design.
The Product Design Engineer based in Fordingbridge, Hampshire will have a blend of the following skills and experience:
* Developing new products from concept, using sketching
* Knowledge of plastics, properties & design principles
* Keep up to date by researching new processes & technologies
* Continually improve existing products
* 3D design & generation of production ready drawings in Solidworks
* Shaping new product roadmap, generating new products ideas and seeing them come to fruition
* Liaise with our manufacturing teams in the UK and Far East to see your products safely into full scale production.
* A focus on Design for Manufacture
* Work within our multidisciplinary teams on a wide range of design briefs
