Our clients are simply one of the best in Financial Services, offering a variety of Administration Services globally. Now currently seeking a Qualified Senior Fund Manager to join the expanding team in London.
You will deliver a comprehensive first-class accounting service to a portfolio of private equity and real estate structures in line with the defined business activities. You willsupervise, manage and develop of a team of accountants, andlead, maintain and enhance client relationships on team portfolio.
What you’ll be doing
Your role may include, but will not be limited to, the following tasks which we call ’Defined Business Activities’. The list of defined business activities is not exhaustive and may be amended from time to time:
Timesheet
•Daily input of time on timesheet
Supervision
•Supervise more junior members of staff
•Management of the workflow of junior team members
•Delegate tasks to more junior members of staff
•Review all out going correspondence by direct reporting junior team members
•Assist with the development/enhancement of team specific procedures
•Conduct appraisals for direct reporting team members
Time Management
•Plan and prioritise own and team workflow
•Deal with matters in a timely manner
Accounting Administration
•Review of Accounts and preparation of complex set of accounts
•Manage the quarterly reporting and annual reporting cycles
•Manage the process of VAT returns
•Manage the client billing process for the team
•Liaison with auditors to ensure smooth audit process if required
Other
•Manage client relationships and organise and attend relevant meetings
•Be the key point of contact for main clients
•Assist with the creation and maintenance of client specific accounting procedures
•Liaise with external contacts to obtain and provide required information
•Attend client meetings in respect of accounting matters as required
•Communicate to directors regarding outstanding work and situations involving the accounts department and its clients
•Analysing clients’ key performance indicators for submission with the management accounts
•Assist with and contribute to ad hoc projects as required.
The ideal background for this role
Qualifications
•Recognised accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent)
Experience
•Aminimum of 5 years’ post qualification experience in a financial services environment
•Experience of developing and coaching others
•Experience in Fund Accounting including preparation of capital call and distribution workings and notices, preparation of periodic reporting and capital accounts, preparation of annual audited financial statements including consolidation, dealing with ad-hoc investor queries
•Experience in producing financial statements to IFRS, UK GAAP or other appropriate standards for a range of entities
•Experience in managing client relationships
•Experience of UK tax returns and VAT returnswould be preferred
Knowledge
•Sound knowledgeand understanding, appropriate to level, of current industry and accounting legislation, regulation and working practices
•Sound knowledge of Private Equity and Real Estate Fund Structures and accounting requirements through lifecycle
•Sounds knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP and a basic understanding of other appropriate accounting standards
•Working knowledge of FIS Investranwould be preferred
