Job Title: Policy Writer & Projects Coordinator (Permanent)
We are recruiting for a Graduate, to work as a Policy writer/Projects Coordinator. Our client are a well-established Health & Social Care Services provider, providing key support to vulnerable adults.
As a Policy Writer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the organisation’s policies, ensuring clarity, effectiveness, and compliance with regulations. You will be responsible for conducting research, meeting with key stakeholders, formulating and drafting policies, and communicating them clearly and concisely in a range of formats.
Outside of the policy writing responsibilities, you would be involved in a range of projects across the business to ensure that they progress smoothly and are delivered within time and budget.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough research on subject areas, and gather data, information, and evidence to ensure effective policy development.
* Formulate clear, concise, and comprehensive policies that address organisational needs and align with industry best practices.
* Write well-crafted policy documents, ensuring clarity, coherence, and adherence to organisational guidelines.
* Collaborate with stakeholders, including policymakers, subject matter experts, and affected parties, to gather input and incorporate diverse perspectives.
* Evaluate the effectiveness and impact of existing policies through rigorous evaluation techniques, and make recommendations for adjustments or improvements.
* Monitor policy implementation, ensuring compliance with regulations and organisational guidelines.
* Conduct periodic policy reviews, assessing the need for updates or revisions based on changing circumstances or emerging issues.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in English Language, Political Science, Economics, Law, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
* Strong interest/experience in policy development, research, or analysis in a professional setting.
* Strong research, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and progress positive outcomes to keep projects running smoothly.
* Must have strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and assist with multiple projects.
* Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ethical considerations would be highly desirable.
* Attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Ability to meet project timelines and steer meetings and stakeholders to deliver tasks within agreed time frames.
