* Overseeing procurement/Purchasing Operational activities Including Supply Chain management Operations.
* Developing and executing effective purchasing strategies.
* Managing relationships and negotiations with key suppliers.
* Identifying opportunities for cost savings in the procurement process.
* Ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
* Conducting market research to keep abreast of trends in the Life Science industry.
* Managing and developing the procurement team.
* Collaborating with other departments to ensure business objectives are met.
* The role is a Purchasing Ops Manager. it is quite an operational procurement and systems biased role covering all elements of site procurement for this large manufacturing organisation
Profile
A successful Purchasing Manager should have:
* An academic background in Business, Supply Chain Management or related fields.
* Experience in procurement and supply chain management in the Life Science industry.
* Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
* Knowledge of procurement software and tools.
* Leadership skills with the ability to develop and manage a team.
* Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
