Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Projects Engineer will be responsible for the engineering design of new products and managing their development from the concept phase to production launch in the Redditch facility, as well as those of suppliers and partner manufacturers. You will also develop and implement new manufacturing technologies and improve current products and processes.
During your first few weeks in this Projects Engineer role, you can expect to begin work on some of the following:
* Complete product development lifecycle management from concept through development to production launch
* 3D and 2D CAD design of products using PTC Creo 10
* Thermal design using in-house developed software
* Creation of products and structures within our ERP system, SAGE 1000
* Visit customer and supplier sites to investigate applications, progress projects, and develop inter-company relationships
To apply for this Project Engineer position, your soft skills, expertise, and experience should include:
* Experience in the design, ideally to ASME VIII Div I & II
* Experience of VIII-1 Sections UCD and UHX or VIII-2 Section 4
* Proficiency in the use of 3D CAD, preferably PTC Creo
* Experience with other software, including Dassault Systems SolidWorks or Autodesk Fusion 360, will be considered
