We are currently seeking a proactive and diligent School Site Assistant to join a school based in Southampton on a temporary to permanent basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of the school site.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conducting routine maintenance tasks to upkeep the school premises.
* Assisting with health and safety checks to ensure compliance with regulations.
* Monitoring and managing stock levels for cleaning and maintenance supplies.
* Responding promptly to any maintenance or repair issues as they arise.
* Undertaking minor repairs and adjustments as needed.
* Supporting the setup and breakdown of equipment for school events and activities.
* Collaborating with other staff members to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a similar role.
* Strong practical skills with the ability to perform basic maintenance tasks.
* Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
* A proactive and flexible approach to work, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to school environments would be advantageous.
* Willingness to undergo relevant background checks.
