Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Advisor to join our team based in Durham. This pivotal role will provide expert employee relations support to our field-based managers, ensuring people matters are handled fairly, consistently and in line with employment legislation and best practice.

Our HR Advisor will be:
*Advising and supporting managers across the organisation on all things employee relations including performance, engagement, absence, welfare, capability and whistleblowing
*Managing complex employee relation cases, including safeguarding, with confidence and care
*First point of contact for general HR enquiries via phone and shared inbox
*Ensuring accurate HR record-keeping and administering documentation like contracts, variations and references
*Ensuring consistent, fair application of HR policies and best practices
*Collaborating on exciting HR projects and policy improvements
*Partnering with other departments across the organisation to support the delivery of onboarding, talent development, management upskilling and offboarding
Our HR Advisor will have:
*Proven experience working in an HR Advisor role within an industry that has allowed you to gain practical knowledge and experience in safeguarding
*Proven experience of confidently managing complex ER cases, including safeguarding
*A CIPD qualification, level 5 or willingness to work towards is desirable
*Strong demonstrable application and knowledge of UK employment law
*Confidence in supporting, coaching and advising Managers in HR best practice, with the ability to challenge and influence constructively
*Comfortable working independently and adaptability in a fast-paced and evolving environment, valuing a solutions-focused approach
We’ll be offering our HR Advisor:
*A competitive salary of £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)
