Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Health & Safety Engineer to join their Production Support team in Telford. This role is ideal for a motivated H&S professional with manufacturing experience who is passionate about driving safety culture, ensuring compliance, and supporting environmental and quality standards across site operations.
Health & Safety Engineer Key Responsibilities
*Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and validate safety documentation relating to work equipment.
*Investigate workplace incidents, near misses, and occupational health concerns, implementing corrective actions where required.
*Design, develop, and deliver engaging Health & Safety training programmes.
*Conduct risk assessments and detailed hazard analyses, including COSHH assessments.
*Perform regular Health & Safety audits and site inspections.
*Support and assist with accreditation and maintenance of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
*Carry out environmental assessments and coordinate continuous improvement initiatives.
*Promote best practice and drive a positive safety culture across the organisation.
Skills & Experience Required
*Minimum 2 years’ experience within a Manufacturing Health & Safety environment.
*Strong knowledge of equipment compliance requirements and corrective action processes.
*Experience conducting audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
*Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
*Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
*Self-motivated with a proactive and solution-focused approach.
*IOSH qualification (or equivalent) in Health & Safety - desirable.
