Job Description:
Introduction
A well-established property management client of ours is looking for a hands-on Maintenance Operative to help keep one of its residential developments running smoothly.
This is a practical, varied role where your work will directly support residents, site teams, and the overall upkeep of the building.
Role Overview:
*Location: SW8 - Monday to Friday
*Package: Up to £35,000 pa DOE
*Industry: Property Management
What You’ll Be Doing:
*Carrying out day-to-day maintenance across the development, including minor repairs and general upkeep.
*Completing routine testing and safety checks such as fire alarms, emergency lighting, smoke ventilation systems and lift line checks.
*Performing a range of practical maintenance tasks including painting, decorating, plaster repairs and light carpentry.
*Replacing lighting, maintaining refuse areas, supporting bin movements and ensuring communal spaces remain clean and operational.
*Pressure washing and maintaining external and communal areas when required.
*Logging maintenance activities, inspections and testing outcomes accurately within company systems.
*Identifying faults or issues across the building and taking appropriate corrective action in consultation with management.
*Supervising contractors on site, reviewing RAMS and issuing permits to work where required.
*Supporting wider building risk management processes including plant room inspections, water testing and equipment checks.
*Ensuring tools and maintenance equipment are stored securely and used appropriately.
