North Oxfordshire | Hybrid
3 days per week (flexibility required around month-end)
£60,000 - £75,000 FTE (Pro Rata) + Bonus
Are you an experienced Financial Controller looking for a flexible role where you can genuinely make an impact?
Reporting to the CEO, you’ll take ownership of the finance function within a growing SME, working closely with the leadership team to deliver accurate financial reporting, improve processes and provide commercial support across the business.
This is a hands-on role offering genuine flexibility and autonomy, ideally suited to someone who enjoys working within an entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities
*Ownership of the monthly management accounts and month end process
*Budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
*Financial reporting and analysis
*Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance
*Manage relationships with external accountants and auditors
*Lead the implementation of a new cloud-based finance system
*Drive process improvements across the finance function
*Business partner with the CEO and senior leadership team
*Support wider commercial and strategic projects as the business continues to evolve
About You
*ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified preferred (QBE candidates with relevant experience will also be considered)
*Previous experience operating as a Financial Controller or within a similar senior finance role
*Strong management accounting, budgeting and forecasting experience
*Comfortable working in a hands-on SME environment
*Commercially minded with excellent communication skills
*Proactive, organised and keen to make a genuine impact
